Description
IonQ is hiring a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to build and operate backend services for its Network and Security Platform. The role owns high-throughput telemetry ingestion, time-series storage, event streaming, RESTful and gRPC APIs, service reliability, observability, and cloud-native deployment across AWS, GCP, and Azure. The engineer will write production Go and/or Rust, collaborate with the Principal Architect, lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and participate in on-call and incident response. The position is onsite in Santa Clara, California, with up to 15% domestic or international travel, and offers a base salary of $163,430 to $213,972 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
