Description
TerraFirma is hiring an Earthworks Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and project plans for earthworks projects involving advanced automation technologies. The role covers material, labor, equipment, and other cost elements; review of project plans and specifications; collaboration with engineers, project managers, and business development managers; development of estimation procedures and templates; site walks and customer interactions; cost monitoring during construction; and assistance with subcontractor and supplier negotiations. Candidates need at least three years of earthworks or heavy civil experience, proficiency with construction estimating software, a record of accurate estimates and complex project wins, and strong communication skills. The position is based in Austin, Texas, with travel across Texas and relocation support available.
