Northeastern University is hiring a Senior Editor for its Northeastern Global News organization, based on the Boston campus and fully onsite five days per week. The role reports to the Executive Editor and involves editing breaking news, features, enterprise pieces, and stories covering innovation, artificial intelligence, health, research, teaching, and campus life; shaping pitches and coverage; fact-checking; building sources; collaborating with media relations, social media, and multimedia teams; and using analytics to inform follow-up coverage. Candidates need 5–7 years of editing experience with a commercial daily news organization, strong news judgment, experience with AI tools and public documents, and the ability to manage deadlines and content production. The expected hiring range is $67,855 to $95,845.
