Description

Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer role for a Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 industrial programme focused on processing critical minerals and manufacturing permanent magnets. The engineer will lead Stage 1 feasibility/concept and Stage 2 FEED/RFQ activities, defining electrical infrastructure, power systems, process control strategies, E&I packages, and vendor evaluation, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting commissioning, testing, and safety integration.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Instrumentation, or Electronic Engineering
Required Previous Experiences: 15–20 years of industrial electrical and instrumentation experience across feasibility, FEED/RFQ, procurement, and commissioning
Experience in mineral processing, powder metallurgy, magnet production, or similar process industries
Experience specifying DCS/PLC architectures, SCADA/HMI systems, motor control systems, MCCs, medium/low-voltage distribution, and power system studies
Experience preparing FEED-level electrical and instrumentation deliverables, RFQs, and vendor technical evaluations
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD is desirable
Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISA, and GCC regulatory requirements
Experience with energy optimization and renewables or energy storage integration
Experience with SIS design, IEC 61511, and hazardous-area instrumentation
Experience in Middle East / GCC markets and regional procurement practices
Strong technical writing, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
