Description

Mach Industries is hiring a Senior Embedded DSP Engineer to develop high-performance radar and RF sensing software for counter-UAV defense systems. The role covers signal-processing algorithms, modeling and simulation, C/C++ firmware, validation, hardware co-design, RF calibration, and embedded software reliability, with collaboration across RF, FPGA, hardware, and GNC teams. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree, at least five years of production signal-processing software experience, and 100% on-site work at the company’s headquarters in Huntington Beach, California.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years developing production signal-processing software for radar, RF sensing, electronic warfare, wireless, or demanding real-time systems
Experience developing software for embedded processing architectures including microcontrollers, DSPs, SIMD/vector processors, or heterogeneous multicore SoCs
Experience using SPI, I2C, and GPIO to control or calibrate RF signal chains and interface with customer platforms
Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing signal-processing pipelines for pulse-Doppler radar, phased-array radar, AESA systems, radar seekers, counter-UAV sensors, or other RF sensing products
Experience with SIMD/vector programming, multicore processing, hardware accelerators, DMA-based data movement, cache optimization, or heterogeneous processing architectures
Experience with real-time operating systems, bare-metal development, device drivers, board bring-up, and SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet, or CSI-2 interfaces
Proficiency in Python or another high-level language for data collection, analysis, and system-performance presentation
Experience using laboratory test equipment to evaluate radar and RF sensing systems
Knowledge of military, aerospace, or safety-critical software standards such as DO-178C, MISRA C, or ASIL
