1st Avenue Power is hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to architect and build the embedded software layer of a utility-scale power system. The role owns communication stacks, cloud telemetry, Linux gateways, real-time control, firmware provisioning, diagnostics, and safety-critical monitoring across solar, storage, and load subsystems. Responsibilities include hardware interfacing, board bring-up, microcontroller evaluation, power-electronics control, and validation through unit, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area on a hybrid schedule and offers a California pay range of $120,000 to $195,000 USD.
