Amazon Robotics is hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of safety-rated sensor-processing firmware for autonomous robots. The role focuses on Rust-based architecture and design across heterogeneous multi-core platforms, sensor data acquisition, point-cloud generation, collision detection, IEC 61508 safety certification, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware, safety, and navigation teams. The engineer will also mentor engineers, set technical direction, and lead end-to-end problem-solving. The position is based in North Reading or Westboro, Massachusetts, with a base salary of $168,100 to $227,400 annually.
