Zipline is hiring an Embedded Platform Software Engineer to own the design, implementation, validation, and production delivery of middleware services for autonomous aircraft. The role focuses on embedded Linux, Rust and C++, IPC, OTA updates, observability, service interfaces, reliability, diagnostics, and cross-functional integrations with flight-software, hardware, and integration teams. Candidates need 5–12 years of embedded, systems, or platform software experience and may be hired at Software Engineer II, Senior Software Engineer, or Staff Software Engineer levels, with starting cash compensation of $160,000–$250,000 and medical, dental, and vision insurance.
