Description

McLaren Automotive is hiring a Senior Engineer - Engine Design to define, design, and deliver high-performance internal combustion engine components and subsystems for a McLaren vehicle platform. Reporting to the Lead Engineer – Engine Design, the role covers technical specifications, CAE analysis, component and system planning, FMEA, DVP, testing, supplier coordination, packaging, and design release. The position is based in Woking, United Kingdom, operates from the company office, and offers hybrid working opportunities.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Mechanical or Automotive Engineering degree
Required Previous Experiences: Significant high-performance automotive OEM or motorsport experience in engine design, testing, and production
Significant high-performance automotive OEM or motorsport experience in OEM or Tier 1 component delivery
Component and system design experience within an APQP or similar framework, including FMEA, component planning, and PPAP
Understanding or application of CAE methods for combustion, structural, and dynamic component analysis
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent CATIA V5 2D/3D skills
Strong BS 8888 and ISO GPS geometrical tolerancing application experience
PC literacy and comfort with Microsoft Office products
