Description
ASM is hiring a Field Service Engineer – Military for a structured 24-month training assignment in Hillsboro, Oregon, followed by relocation to Austin, Texas to support the startup of a new semiconductor fabrication site. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing semiconductor equipment; troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues; responding to escalations; working in cleanrooms; and collaborating with customers and engineering teams. The position requires military background with relevant technical experience, hands-on equipment-troubleshooting experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, willingness to relocate, and flexibility to travel. The engineer will also serve as a technical lead, helping establish startup readiness, operational standards, and customer relationships.
