Description
Encord is hiring a backend engineer to own significant projects in its distributed, data-intensive data systems, including storage, indexing, querying, and multimodal data processing. The role covers end-to-end design, architecture, deployment, monitoring, and performance improvement, with responsibility for fast and correct systems, protocols and APIs, and code quality. Candidates should have experience building and maintaining systems from scratch, strong distributed-systems knowledge, and fluency in at least one high-level language and one statically typed imperative language. The position is based primarily in the London office, with most of the team working from there four or more days per week.
