Description
ASM is hiring a Senior Process Engineer for its Global Key Product Unit in Tama, Tokyo, Japan. The role is part of the PEALD and PECVD Process Development team and focuses on developing new semiconductor fabrication processes, designing and analyzing experiments, characterizing hardware, troubleshooting complex process issues, performing root-cause analysis, and communicating with customers and team members. Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant discipline or a master's degree with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience and some leadership experience, along with at least 3 years of process-engineering experience in semiconductor equipment. Knowledge of plasma physics, material chemistry, and vacuum chamber handling is preferred, while experience with process integration and device-fabrication yield improvement is highly desirable.
