NETGEAR is hiring a full-time Senior Engineer I for its Smart Switch firmware team in Chennai. The role owns embedded Linux firmware architecture and development across 20+ switch SKUs, including hardware abstraction layers, kernel modules, L2/L3 networking protocols, multi-unit stacking, cross-platform delivery, code quality, builds, releases, and AI-augmented development. Candidates need a B.Tech/B.E. or M.Tech/M.E. in a relevant field, at least 8 years of embedded software experience with 3 years in networking or telecommunications, strong C and Linux kernel module skills, networking protocol experience, and familiarity with ARM64 or MIPS toolchains.
