Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring an embedded software/firmware engineer for its NCS group in Chennai. The role develops high-complexity firmware and software for PCIe products, including bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware, device drivers, protocol stacks, test tools, design specifications, testing, debugging, and release activities. The engineer will work across pre- and post-silicon stages, support multiple projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and demonstrate technical self-leadership. The position requires a B.Tech in ECE, CSE, or EEE, strong C programming, embedded software and RTOS knowledge, and experience with PCIe-based products; additional experience with automotive, industrial, Linux, Windows, QNX, VxWorks, and related protocols is desired.
