GHD is hiring a Senior Engineer / Technical Director Dams in Townsville to deliver and manage technical work across dams, water supply, tailings, hydropower, and dam-safety projects. The role applies geotechnical, structural, and design-management expertise across planning, assessment, design, and construction phases; develops client relationships and business-development opportunities; prepares proposals, reports, designs, and assessments; and mentors junior engineers. Candidates need significant dams-engineering experience, typically over seven years, a civil engineering or related bachelor's degree, professional engineering accreditation or equivalent progress, and experience with dam types, dam safety, spillways, outlet works, intake structures, and hydropower facilities. The position supports hybrid work arrangements.
