FirstPrinciples is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead four to six engineers building core capabilities for its Theo scientific research platform. The role combines people development, technical architecture, execution, and hands-on contribution to turn ambiguous research ideas into reliable, scalable systems. It requires significant software engineering experience, experience managing high-performing engineers, strong cross-functional leadership in a matrixed organization, and the ability to work with researchers, physicists, and other domain experts. The position is remote-first and may involve globally distributed teams.
