Scribd is hiring an Engineering Manager for Content Foundations to lead the founding team responsible for real-time, AI-native document ingestion. The role combines technical leadership of high-scale distributed systems and applied AI, people leadership of backend and AI data engineers, and product-oriented roadmap and cross-functional partnership. Candidates need at least 8 years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading backend, data-infrastructure, or platform engineering teams, along with expertise in streaming, ingestion, reliability, security, and production AI. The position offers flexible work with occasional in-person attendance and base salary ranging from $154,500 to $267,500 in the United States outside California, with additional equity and benefits.
