Description
The Senior Engineering Manager will lead a software engineering team within NIQ Activate R&D while also contributing hands-on to backend architecture, microservices development, testing, deployment, and technical problem solving. The role requires approximately 50% engineering leadership and 50% hands-on software engineering, with a focus on scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, SQL, React, and related technologies. Candidates need at least 12 years of backend development experience, including 4+ years in team management, a B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent, and experience with large-scale databases and agile development.
