Description
Coherent Corp. is hiring a telecom and optomechanical engineer to design and develop multi-fiber packaging for fiber-optic devices and modules. The role covers physical package design, simulation and analysis for vibration, shock, and environmental conditions; material and vendor selection; performance and cost specifications; fixture and inspection-process development; reliability testing; manufacturing transfer; technical support; and failure analysis. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in telecom, optomechanical engineering, physics, or a related technical field, at least two years of related experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks, optical components, materials, mechanical design, supplier coordination, project management, and Microsoft Office tools.
