Description
Schnabel Engineering is hiring a Senior Field Engineering Technician for its Columbia, South Carolina office. The role involves observing and documenting construction activities, testing construction materials, collecting and troubleshooting instrumentation data, performing laboratory soil, aggregate, materials, and concrete testing, preparing reports, and communicating findings with contractors and engineers. The position requires a high school degree or higher, construction project experience, relevant technician certification or the ability to obtain it within six months, MSHA training or the ability to obtain it within six months, strong mathematical and communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors and travel to project sites throughout the Southeast. Compensation is $25 to $35 per hour.
