Shield AI is hiring a Senior Fluid Systems Engineer to develop liquid cooling and hydraulic fluid systems for its X-BAT jet-engine VTOL military UAV platform. The role involves designing components and fluid systems, managing suppliers, performing system and component analysis and sizing, and owning multiple aspects of the X-BAT fluid systems. The position requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, at least five years of fluid or hydraulic systems experience, strong CAD skills, and proficiency with fluid or hydraulic system analysis tools; environmental robustness, ground and flight testing, and reliability and safety methods are preferred.
