Motional is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Map Creator team to build and optimize a web-based semantic map annotation editor for autonomous vehicles. The role involves managing massive-scale map data, developing map generation and validation automations, designing efficient user workflows, and maintaining high-performance 2D/3D editing tools and visualizations. The engineer will also collaborate with machine learning and international teams and integrate AI capabilities into the development lifecycle. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, at least five years of experience building complex production applications, and strong TypeScript, React, and software engineering expertise.
