Scale AI is hiring a Senior Frontier Agent Engineer (Forward Deployed Engineering) to architect, integrate, deploy, and operate production AI systems for strategic enterprise customers. The role combines software engineering, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, agent architectures, AI platform engineering, quality and observability, and customer-facing technical leadership. Candidates need at least five years of software engineering experience, strong Python skills, experience with LLM-based applications and cloud platforms, and the ability to translate complex enterprise requirements into scalable production systems. The position offers a base salary of $216,000–$270,000 USD in San Francisco, New York, or Seattle, along with equity, health, dental, vision, retirement, learning, and other benefits.
