Description

LILT is hiring a Senior Engineer to own the architecture, technical roadmap, and hands-on engineering of a new real-time Converse expansion. The role covers low-latency N-way translation pipelines, live meeting interfaces, interpreter workbenches, event-driven correction and broadcast systems, third-party meeting-platform integrations, testing and CI/CD practices, and engineering standards. Candidates need 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, strong backend and frontend expertise, experience with real-time systems and meeting-platform SDKs, and US citizenship and residence in the United States.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
Experience owning complex real-time or streaming systems end-to-end
Backend experience with REST APIs and real-time or streaming systems
Frontend experience building complex, stateful, real-time React/TypeScript UIs
Experience integrating with third-party platform SDKs or extension frameworks
Experience with ASR/MT/NLP pipelines or latency-sensitive ML-in-the-loop systems
Ability to scope ambiguous 0-to-1 product requirements into technical plans
Experience building validation and guard logic for diverse customer configurations
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with speech/audio pipelines, diarization, streaming speech recognition, or audio stream multiplexing
Experience building CAT tools, translation memory or termbase systems, or linguist-facing review interfaces
Familiarity with localization and TMS workflows, including XLIFF, translation memory, and MT versus human translation pipelines
Experience with cross-platform, embedded, or mobile-adjacent architectures and shared services across device and web form factors
Experience shipping in regulated or high-security customer environments
Hands-on Microsoft Teams app or bot development
Experience mentoring engineers and setting technical standards for a new product line
Familiarity with post-meeting asset generation, transcript formats, recording citations, and summarization
