The role owns the architecture and roadmap for a core product area, leading full-stack systems from data models through UI, real-time search and event analysis, AI/ML capabilities, and scalable infrastructure. Responsibilities include setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, reviewing architecture decisions, and improving full-stack craftsmanship.
