Description

PENN Entertainment is hiring a remote Software Engineer for its Client Platform team, which owns shared component libraries, design systems, build and release tooling, and a server-driven UI service. Candidates need at least five years of software engineering experience, strong JavaScript, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and browser skills, along with experience with production systems, API development, multi-client platforms, Kubernetes, and testing frameworks. Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of software engineering experience
2+ years designing and evolving GraphQL schemas for multi-client product surfaces
API development experience in Node, Bun, or another server framework
Experience building and integrating multi-client or white-label platforms
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized services
Experience with testing frameworks including Jest, Vitest, ExUnit, RSpec, or pytest
Experience on an on-call rotation and owning release cycles end to end
Preferred Qualifications: Apollo Federation, Absinthe, mobile development, hexagonal architecture, domain-driven design, relational databases, background job processing, asynchronous event infrastructure, open source contributions, startup experience, and sports or esports interest
