Description

Level is hiring a Senior Full-Stack WebApp Engineer for its Platform team to own end-to-end web features spanning TypeScript React-family front-ends and Kotlin/Java backend services. The role covers authentication, onboarding, authoring, admin tooling, API and service architecture, reliability, security, performance, testing, incident response, and mentorship of mid-level and associate engineers. It is an onsite role requiring five days per week.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional full-stack web engineering experience shipping production systems used by real users.
Experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling for product features, including key-value and document stores, caching, queues, and eventual-consistency trade-offs.
Experience with authentication and identity systems, including OAuth/OIDC, SSO, session and token management, and third-party providers.
Experience building authoring tools, CMSes, or internal back-office applications used by editorial or operations teams.
Background in EdTech, K-12, or other domains with strong privacy and accessibility requirements, including FERPA, COPPA, and WCAG.
Experience contributing to or maintaining shared design systems and component libraries.
Exposure to Backstage, internal developer platforms, or other developer productivity surfaces.
Preferred Qualifications: React
React Native experience
Familiarity with Linkerd, ArgoCD, and Terraform
Experience with authentication and identity systems, including OAuth/OIDC, SSO, session and token management, and third-party providers
Experience building authoring tools, CMSes, or internal back-office applications used by editorial or operations teams
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, structured logging, and modern observability stacks
