Pivotal Health is hiring a Platform Engineer to own platform components end to end, including identity and access, APIs, schemas, developer tooling, authorization, messaging infrastructure, and data pipelines. The role focuses on designing scalable, reliable, extensible systems; improving monitoring and testing; reducing operational toil; and partnering with product, data, and infrastructure teams. Candidates need at least five years of fullstack, backend, or platform software engineering experience, strong coding skills, cloud-native systems experience, relational database and data modeling experience, and familiarity with event-driven architectures. The role is primarily based in Los Angeles or New York, with remote and hybrid flexibility varying by team.
