Description

Sonatype is hiring a GCP DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and scale its engineering platform and delivery systems on Google Cloud Platform. The role leads infrastructure and CI/CD modernization, observability, security, container orchestration, reliability engineering, reusable platform patterns, and technical mentorship. It requires 6+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, along with expertise in GCP, Terraform, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, scripting, and secure software delivery.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering
6+ years of GCP infrastructure design, implementation, and evolution using Terraform and deployment automation
Experience designing GCP-native or integrated CI/CD pipelines for multiple application stacks
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent automation frameworks
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably with GKE
Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting and automation languages
Experience implementing observability, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards
Experience implementing observability, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GitHub, SonarQube, Nexus Repository, or software supply chain security tooling
Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and migration patterns from AWS or on-premises platforms to GCP
Exposure to policy-as-code, platform engineering, developer portals, or internal developer platform concepts
Experience supporting regulated or enterprise-scale environments with strong governance requirements
