Description
Ascent Resources is hiring a Senior Geologist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, reporting to the Manager - Geoscience. The role interprets and analyzes geological data, correlates formations, creates reservoir maps, evaluates property prospectivity, supports drilling, completion, and production operations, and prepares technical reports and presentations. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in Geology or Geosciences, at least 10 years of geological evaluation experience in the oil and gas industry, extensive unconventional petroleum exploration experience, geological interpretation software expertise, and knowledge of petrophysical principles, wireline logs, cores, and seismic data. Preferred qualifications include GeoGraphix and Kingdom software, geosteering, well planning, Spotfire or Power BI, GIS, geostatistics, and data analytics or machine learning applications in geology.
