Description

AECOM is hiring a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for its Mine Tailings and Mine Waste Management team in Canada. The role leads the technical delivery and detailed design of tailings dams and other mine waste and water-management facilities, serves as Engineer of Record, reviews engineering work, advises clients on regulatory compliance, and mentors technical team members. The position may be based in any of AECOM’s Canadian offices and offers hybrid work options; sponsorship for a Canadian work permit is not available.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a relevant discipline
Required Previous Experiences: At least 8 years of progressive experience in mine tailings and mine waste management
Previous experience as Engineer of Record for large mine tailings facilities
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
More than 20 years of progressive experience in mine tailings management, ideally in Canada
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to develop strong working relationships within AECOM and with international project teams
Experience in leadership and developing multidisciplinary teams
Good command of English for assignments outside Quebec
