Description
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer leads and supports front-line mining employees in underground rock mechanics and ground control, while guiding short- and long-term mine planning, stope sizing, sequencing, and life-of-mine design. The role includes field inspections, ground-control and pillar-management planning, 3D stress-model interpretation, quality-control testing, instrumentation management, and trigger-action response planning. It requires a bachelor’s degree in geological or mining engineering and 8–10 years of direct mining operations experience, with underground hard-rock mining experience preferred.
