The role covers RTL design, architecture, FPGA selection, simulation, testbenches, debugging, feasibility studies, vendor coordination, and mentoring. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a P.Eng designation or path toward it, and at least five years of relevant digital logic design and testing experience. The position is hybrid in Burnaby, British Columbia, with a salary range of $108,000 to $153,000 plus potential profit sharing.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of relevant experience designing and testing digital logic, including FPGA or ASIC
Hands-on experience designing complex VHDL or Verilog systems with multiple clock domains, high-speed interfaces, memories, MIPI, MGT, and data-processing cores
Experience with self-verifying simulation environments and techniques
Experience with hardware debugging tools, including logic analyzers and Chipscope
Experience translating high-level requirements into architectures and partitioning designs into hardware and software functions
Preferred Qualifications: P.Eng designation or path toward it
Xilinx Zynq7K and MP, AXI interfaces, Xilinx IP, Vivado, Xilinx ISE, and Chipscope
FPGA or SoC experience with Intel or Lattice vendors
Image processing and machine vision concepts
