Senior Hydroelectricity and Dams Engineer - Heavy Mechanical at AECOM2

AECOM is hiring a Senior Heavy Mechanical Engineer to design, integrate, and implement heavy mechanical equipment for hydroelectric power plants and water retention structures, including gates, stoplogs, trash racks, lifting mechanisms, winches, cranes, and material-handling systems. The role involves defining design criteria, performing calculations and equipment selection, preparing technical deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, conducting site surveys, supporting construction through shop drawings, RFIs, inspections, and commissioning, and mentoring junior engineers and technicians. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least 12 years of specific experience designing heavy mechanical equipment for hydroelectric facilities, with membership or eligibility for registration with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
