Description
IREN is hiring a Senior High Voltage Design Engineer to lead and review the detailed design of high- and medium-voltage substations connecting Canadian data center campuses to the grid, typically 12kV to 287kV. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the role acts as Owner's Engineer for external consultants and EPC contractors, develops standardized substation designs, reviews engineering studies and equipment specifications, supports procurement and technical bid evaluations, and provides engineering support through construction, commissioning, and energization. The position is hybrid in Vancouver or Prince George, British Columbia, with regular travel to IREN sites, and offers a base salary starting at $130,000 CAD plus benefits.
