AWS is hiring a Senior High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead the technical strategy and design of next-generation facility-scale HVDC power architecture for generative AI compute loads. The role manages projects, sets engineering standards, provides technical oversight of electrical and mechanical basis-of-design work, advises on data center infrastructure, ensures regulatory and building-code compliance, and mentors engineers. It requires a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, structural engineering, or an equivalent field and at least 8 years of experience managing staff focused on mission-critical infrastructure; direct data center experience is welcomed but not required. The position is based in Herndon, Virginia, with up to 25% travel, and offers a base salary of $178,800 to $241,900 annually plus benefits.
