Description
ABB is hiring a Mine Hoist Engineer to act as the technical authority for mine hoist solutions, covering electrical, control, drive, safety, and functional-safety systems. The role leads projects from design through manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle extensions; coordinates with customers, project managers, and cross-functional teams; prepares work plans and cost estimates; and mentors engineering colleagues. It is a hybrid position in Australia and requires an engineering degree, professional registration, relevant mine-hoisting or safety-critical experience, and expertise in power systems, drives, controls, industrial networks, and functional safety.
