BAE Systems is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Barrow-in-Furness for an onsite role requiring five days per week. The position supports and delivers IT infrastructure for internal engineering customers, resolving support issues and maintaining the performance and availability of Windows and Linux infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining servers, storage, networking, security, and hardware; administering virtualised production environments; and applying cybersecurity and automation practices. The role requires Wintel systems administration, VMware and Horizon, network architecture, Palo Alto firewall and network security, and on-premises Citrix and thin-client support.
