Lightning AI is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer to build production software, APIs, tooling, and automation for large-scale bare-metal and GPU infrastructure. The role covers provisioning, configuration, monitoring, lifecycle management, observability, reliability, and collaboration with infrastructure, networking, data center, and platform engineering teams. It may be fully remote within the United States or hybrid from New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, or London, with occasional offsites. The position requires 8+ years of relevant experience, strong Python or similar backend systems experience, Linux expertise, and infrastructure automation experience; it does not offer visa sponsorship. The anticipated annual base salary is $180,000–$220,000 USD, with medical, dental, and vision coverage and other benefits.
