Wood is hiring a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer / Technologist for its Projects Canada business in Calgary, Alberta, on a hybrid basis. The role coordinates instrumentation and controls work across greenfield and brownfield energy and heavy-industrial projects, supporting studies, design, procurement, fabrication, and construction. Responsibilities include P&ID and control-system development, instrumentation specification, industrial communication and fiber-optic systems, HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL reviews, documentation, vendor coordination, and FAT/SAT support. The position requires a relevant diploma or engineering degree, at least eight years of instrumentation and controls experience, knowledge of applicable codes and standards, and strong analytical and communication skills; oil and gas, SmartPlant Instrumentation, and APEGA registration or eligibility are desirable.
