Description

BWI is hiring a Senior IT Portfolio Manager Digital Transformation to support the German Armed Forces’ digital transformation through IT portfolio management, strategy consulting, enterprise architecture, and portfolio advisory. The role aligns customer and military requirements with BWI’s service portfolio and architecture, develops roadmaps and action measures, coordinates stakeholders across the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces, and improves cluster processes. It is a full-time position starting immediately at the BWI site in Ulm, with compensation of €71,000 to €104,040 and benefits including annual leave, flexible working options, and professional development support.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: University degree in computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable program; alternatively, completed vocational training
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT portfolio management, strategy consulting, enterprise architecture, digitization, or IT management
Experience developing IT target visions, roadmaps, or strategic decision-making bases
Experience using architecture-relevant tools
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the organizational structures and processes of the German Armed Forces or the public sector
Analytical, structured, and conceptual working style with strong communication and facilitation skills
Confident appearance, high consulting competence, and ability to tailor complex issues for target audiences
Very good German and good English skills, spoken and written
