INIT is hiring a Senior IT Security Engineer to lead security strategy, operations, governance, risk management, and compliance for its internal infrastructure and customer-facing transit technology deployments. The role directs security architecture, identity and access controls, incident response, threat intelligence, tabletop exercises, audit remediation, vendor risk, and security policies across PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 frameworks. It requires 10+ years of relevant experience, a security-relevant certification, and collaboration with IT Operations, Systems Engineering, and software development teams. The position is hybrid, with Hampton Roads, Virginia preferred, and requires travel to customer sites and audit activities.
