Retarus is hiring a Senior IT Service Engineer for its email services in Erfurt, Germany. The role supports the operation and continuous improvement of secure email gateways, email encryption, and transactional email services; it involves troubleshooting SMTP, DNS, TLS, authentication, filtering, and network issues in Linux environments, handling complex customer escalations, coordinating incident response, performing root-cause analysis, documenting solutions, and mentoring junior staff. The position requires strong knowledge of email protocols, networking, and IT security, along with experience in production environments, incident management, monitoring, ticketing, log analysis, and scripting. English at C1 level is required, while German or French at B2 or higher is advantageous.
