The employer is hiring a Senior Java Backend Developer to build and modernize enterprise-scale backend applications for a leading banking client. The role is available in Irving, Texas; Tampa, Florida; and Jersey City, New Jersey, with full-time or W2 contract employment and a hybrid schedule of four days onsite and one day remote. Required skills include Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs and microservices, Oracle, SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, distributed systems, system design and architecture, code reviews, performance optimization, unit testing and debugging, and Agile/SDLC. Banking or financial services experience, leadership and mentoring experience, enterprise application development, and strong problem-solving and communication skills are preferred.
