The Senior Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture. Responsibilities include database design and optimization, event-driven integration with Kafka, system architecture, containerization and orchestration, CI/CD pipeline automation, performance optimization, code quality, collaboration with engineering and DevOps teams, and mentorship of junior engineers.
