Citi is hiring a Senior Java Developer for its Oasys Financial team to lead the modernization of a legacy financial ledger from shell scripts and stored procedures into a modern, event-driven Java microservices architecture. The role involves designing and developing scalable Java applications, integrating and migrating SQL databases, troubleshooting complex systems, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with product, business, and global engineering teams. Candidates need at least 8 years of Java server-side application experience, 5 years of SQL database experience, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and strong Unix/Linux skills; legacy modernization, Spring Boot, microservices, containerization, AI-assisted development, MSSQL, shell scripting, and financial accounting knowledge are preferred.
