Description

Citi is hiring a Development Engineer for its Equities Electronic-Execution technology team to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks. The role combines hands-on software development and testing leadership with strategic automation planning, CI/CD and DevOps integration, containerized testing environments, platform and system testing, and cross-functional quality collaboration. Candidates need extensive senior software or automation engineering experience, FIX protocol knowledge, Java and Python expertise, BDD and Cucumber experience, Docker and Openshift skills, CI/CD pipeline experience, and financial-services trading-system exposure.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Extensive experience in a senior software or automation engineering role with leadership and strategic impact.
In-depth knowledge of the FIX protocol.
Expert-level proficiency in Java and Python.
Deep, hands-on experience with BDD frameworks, particularly Cucumber.
Strong expertise in Docker and Openshift container technologies.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Experience in the financial services industry with exposure to trading systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of algorithmic trading and Smart Order Routing (SOR).
