Description
Citi is hiring a full-time Senior Data Engineer to build and evolve an event-driven data platform for real-time trade and settlement events. The role involves designing and maintaining production-grade Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Oracle pipelines; applying software engineering practices such as TDD, BDD, SOLID, and trunk-based development; contributing to scalable event-driven architectures; and collaborating with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams. The engineer will also serve as a subject matter expert, mentor junior engineers, and help establish technical standards. Required qualifications include 8+ years of senior technology or data engineering experience, strong event-driven and microservices expertise, Java proficiency, and experience with cloud-native development, container orchestration, and CI/CD.
