Zopa is hiring a Software Engineer to build distributed systems that process thousands of transactions daily and handle people’s money. The role focuses on shipping products, test-driven or behaviour-driven development, scalable system design, stakeholder collaboration, and solving complex problems in a fast-moving fintech environment. The engineer will use technologies including Kotlin, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS Aurora Postgres, and the position requires a hybrid London office arrangement of 2–3 days per week, with an option to work abroad for up to 120 days per year subject to work-rights.
