Description

Mercury Teknoloji A.Ş. is hiring a full-time Senior Java Software Engineer (Backend) to develop and maintain the backend of a life sciences and healthcare shipping platform. The role involves designing scalable APIs and microservices, collaborating with product, architecture, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams, implementing observability and deployment tools, and mentoring junior engineers. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a software-focused engineering field, such as Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 7 years of backend development experience with Java, including at least 4 years using Java version 9 or higher.
At least 3 years of recent experience with Spring Boot or Spring.
Proven experience with microservices architecture.
Experience with Kafka for messaging and streaming.
Experience building large-scale backends with supporting developer portals or marketplaces.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with other databases, data storage technologies, and NoSQL.
Experience and deep understanding of observability tools and systems.
Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with Quarkus and GraalVM.
Experience with Hexagonal Architecture, also known as Ports and Adapters.
